Panama City Artists December Events

*Dec 4 thru 18
Cloud of Ideas, PCA fundraiser, All art $5! Exhibit open Dec 5 through Dec 18, daily 10am to 6pm, open till 9pm on Fri Dec 11 and 18.  City Arts Co-op, 318 Luverne Ave, just south of the VAC before you get to Bayou Joes

PCA Holiday Inspired Exhibit at the Marina Civic Center. Exhibit runs through Dec 21 during regular Marina Civic Center Hours.  All works priced at $100 or less.
*Dec 4, 11, 18
Stop by the PCA booth in Gateway Park Downtown Dec 11 and 18- for art, caricatures, and more!  This is part of Downtown's Home for the Holidays.  While downtown, you can also see the PCA Art in Public Places windows in Sherman Arcade, and the 100 block and 400 block of Harrison Avenue. (PCA members- Contact Paulette for info about setting up in the PCA booth.)

Many PCA members will have art in the Bay Annual at the VAC, Opening Reception Fri evening, 7pm to 9pm, Dec 11

Everyone is invited to the PCA Holiday Social, Tuesday, Dec 15, 6:30pm, at City Arts Cooperative, 318 Luverne Ave, Downtown Panama City.  (PCA members- this is Potluck, contact Jennifer Bonaventura, 215-9143,, to see what foods are needed.)

NWFLAA Spring Festival of the Arts Poster Competition

The first annual NWFLAA Spring Festival of the Arts poster competition is upon us. Since this is the first art festival hosted by the Northwest Florida Arts Association, the poster content and style is up to the artist. All media is accepted. The winning artist receives a $200 cash award.

Submission Deadline: The deadline is January 30, 2010. All artists will be notified of the outcome of the competition by February 5, 2010.

Submission Requirements: All entries must be a minimum size of 16”x24”, and no more than 24”x36”. Vertical orientation is required. Digitally created designs must be available in a high-resolution format if selected. All artwork must be original and unpublished. The festival name and date will be added to the final selection.

The selected design will be reproduced on posters, T-shirts, and other NWFLAA promotional items that will be for sale during the festival. This is a major source of fundraising for Northwest Florida Arts Association. A limited number of signed copies of the poster will be available. The artist will be asked to sign the posters.

Each entry must include the artist’s name, address, and phone number attached to the back of the entry. No more than three designs per artist may be submitted.

Entries need to be mailed to, or dropped off at – ASAP Graphics, 98 Eglin Pkwy NE #5, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.

NWFLAA reserves the right to accept or reject all work submitted during this competition. Northwest Florida Arts Association, Inc accepts no liability for damaged and/or lost artwork.

Designs submitted must include return postage and appropriate mailing material and/or packaging. Entries that do not include postage will not be returned by mail. Entries dropped off must be picked up by February 12, 2010.

The winning entry becomes the property of Northwest Florida Arts Association, Inc. The artist retains the copyright of the design image, but NWFLAA reserves the right to unlimited reproduction and use of the image or parts of the image for arts festival materials and products for sale.

Founding members are not eligible for this competition.

Call to Artists - November 20th Art Walk

The Downtown Merchants of Historic Fort Walton Beach, Florida invite you to participate every 3rd Friday to "Downtown Art Walk" at participating stores from 5:30-8:30pm and display your work.
